University of Maryland professor and coastal geomorphologist Stephen Leatherman, otherwise known as "Dr. Beach," travels the nation's 650 beaches and ranks them annually. His evaluations are based on 50 criteria, including soft sand, clear blue water, abundant wildlife, and far-reaching views. Florida has continued to capture stellar ratings since the survey began in 1991, and its beaches make up nearly half of this year's overall best in the country.

ANIMAL KIMGDOM  - Everyone is going wild with this new animal park which had its doors opened to the public in April 98.the wilderness.

UNIVERSAL STUDIOS  - Opened in May 1990, this is a state of the art motion picture and television studio that includes features such as a lifelike King Kong and Jaws! You'll thrill to over 40 rides, shows and attractions at the Universal Studios Florida, the No 1 Movie Studios and theme Park in the world. There are also hotels, restaurants etc. and a 5000 seat amphitheatre. Universal's Islands of Adventure is an all new 21st century theme park. 

SPLENDID CHINA  - Orlando’s newest major attraction replicates more than sixty of China’s best known scenic, historical and cultural sites in both full scale and miniature. Major features include the Great Wall of China, a 2.600 foot-long version of the 4,200 mile long original, and a miniaturised re-creation of Beijing’s Forbidden City and Imperial Palace. Splendid China also offers a variety of live entertainment. 

SEA WORLD - The world's largest marine life park is the area's second most popular attraction.
